Today, medical professionals who want to learn a new technique have to face a learning curve which may be a high-risk period for patients, and the physicians.
OnlineMasterclass has created a Unique Online Video Simulator offering to medical professionals a way to train to real situations before beginning their first cases.
Through this simulator they will have the opportunity to face and to react to difficult situations or complications usually occurring during the learning period.

• e-learning
  

  OMC offers a unique video simulator with a worldwide access through the web
  Using the simulator, medical professionals will have to react to difficult situations or complications in real time.
  The main goal of this simulator is to shorten and to secure the learning period of medical proffessionals.

• Onsite trainings

  OMC simulator can be used during classic onsite training.
  In this context, an electronic voting system is used to provide interactivity.
  A speaker will comment the videos and will define the content of the session according to the scores obtained by the audience.

• Research

  OMC is now evaluating the clinical efficiency of the simulator :
  Two group of naïve surgeons beginning laparoscopic radical prostatectomy will be randomized.
  Group 1 will use the simulator , Group 2 will not use the simulator.
  We will compare the results of the surgery in the 2 groups in order to evaluate the impact of the simulator on clinical practive.
  OnlineMasterClass has been given a grant by the French ministry of reasearch projects (PHRC 2007).
